Fairies were at work over the Easter holidays to make our playground look much more attractive; you may have noticed a few changes when dropping off the children.
We have a lovely bright sensory area adjacent to the gate. Here children can enjoy some quite time and explore the delights hidden within the tyres. One contains a solar pumped water feature, another stones to rifle through and feel the coolness and texture in our hands, others are filled with soil to grow beautiful smelling plants like lavender and rosemary.
There are brightly coloured windmills around the playground as well as sails which will protect us from the hot sun when it arrives, meanwhile seeing them blow in the wind is strangely relaxing and fascinating. Oh, and there are wind chimes and lights to tinkle and twinkle in the trees.
Another water feature has been dug into the garden outside the office, accompanied by new plants and a weather station.
As well as enjoying these new sensory additions to the playground, our children will learn to respect and take care of them.
As for those busy fairies, they left me a note to thank Mrs Humphrey and Mr and Mrs Frazer. Mmm, why was that?
