Class 2 spent some of their morning creating sculptures using plastic spoons and rubber bands. They were inspired by Jill Townsley, a British artist who makes large-scale sculptures and installations. One of Townsley's sculptures was a pyramid, made using 9273 plastic spoons and 3091 rubber bands.
There was a lot of great team work and some fidgety fine motor skills needed to get those bands around the spoons and make their sculpture before it fell.
